Security forces fired live bullets and tear gas to break up demonstrations in the city of Kosti, in White Nile state. Witnesses confirmed that the police and security forces fired live ammunition and wounded a protester in his foot and another on his hand, while about (9) others lost consciousness from the tear gas. It is reported that the demonstrations were organized to demand the dismissal of the governor of the state and the shortages of bread and fuel.

أطلقت القوات الأمنية الرصاص الحي والبمبان لتفريق مظاهرات في مدينة كوستي بالنيل الابيض. وأكد شهود، ان الشرطة والامن اطلقوا الرصاص الحي واصابوا متظاهر في قدمه واخر في يده، فيما اصيب نحو (9) آخرين بالاغماء بسبب الغاز المسيل للدموع. يُذكر ان المظاهرات جاءت للمطالب باقالة والي الولاية وتوفير الخبز والوقود.
