The Sudanese Journalist Network issued a statement condemning an assault on one of its members (also member of the state high level committee for combating COVID-19) by forces affiliated with the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) in North Darfur state. The incident on Mohamed Ahmed Musa (and his colleague Dr. Misbah) happened on 1 May and came on the back of their complaints regarding non-compliance of quarantine facilities with acceptable standards where individuals entering Sudan from neighboring countries were being held.
