On Sunday morning, police forces fired tear gas and live bullets, to disperse a demonstration organized by school students in Nyala, western Sudan.

Witnesses confirmed that the police shot at close range using the ‘Doshka cannon’, which resulted in several injuries. The authorities also arrested three students participating in the demonstration.

أطلقت الشرطة الغاز المسيل للدموع والرصاص الحي، لتفريق مظاهرة سيرها طلاب المدارس، صباح اليوم الاحد، في مدينة نيالا، غرب السودان.

وأكد شهود عيان، ان الشرطة اطلقت الرصاص من مسافة قريبة على المظاهرات، بواسطة مدفع (دوشكا)، ما ادى الى سقوط عدد من الجرحى، لافتين الى اعتقال السلطات لثلاثة من الطلاب المشاركين في المظاهرة.
