Death Toll Rises to 14, With 181 Injuries From Anti-coup Protests
Yesterday, Friday, November 5th, the Sudanese Doctors Committee announced that the number of victims of the protests since October 25th has risen to 14 dead and 181 injured, many of whom are still critically injured, in addition to other injuries that have led to permanent disabilities among the demonstrators.
The committee said that it had documented 3 gunshot wounds, who were shot by "regular forces" on November 2, in the Karari area, Omdurman. And 7 people were shot in the city of Zalingei from the October 30th events, and they said that one of them was seriously injured.
The committee added that the list did not include "other casualties that we could not reach in the capital and the provinces." But it stated that it is still working for a comprehensive and accurate statistics of the injured and victims.
