Rescue and Operations Police from the Ministry of Interior in State forcibly dispersed a protest that was organized in front of the in Geddaref State. Protestors had assembled at the offices of the Chamber of Zakat in the state to protest the delays in receiving their monthly financial assistance. The Sudanese Rights Group Huqooq reported that several of the protesters were injured in the process, with one of the members of the Neighborhood Resistance Committees suffering a fracture of his hand and bruises from the police beatings.
