Peaceful protest in Kassala forcibly dispersed by police
Kassala State Police have used tear gas to forcibly dispersed a peaceful protest that was staged by Persons with Special Needs and Teachers in the state.
The protest was organized to demand the resumption of schools dedicated to persons with special needs whilst teachers were calling for the dismissal of the director general of the State ministry of Education who has been accused of arbitrarily transferring teachers belonging to the teachers committee and appointing persons to the ministry without prior agreement/vetting.
