Work seized in Portsudan seaport due to workers’ strike
The work in Portsudan seaport was seized Monday, February 19th due to workers’ strike. They are objecting the new plans to transmit the containers station management to a Filipino company. Workers have seized work in fears of losing their jobs.
The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights states in Article 22: 1. Everyone shall have the right to freedom of association with others, including the right to form and join trade unions for the protection of his interests.
