The Emergency Lawyers Committee announces the arrest of (40) people, including (20) children, during protests in Khartoum

The Emergency Lawyers Committee revealed, in a statement, the arrest of 40 people, including 20 children, during protests that took place in Khartoum yesterday.

The statement confirmed that the arrests were carried out randomly by the Security and Criminal Investigation Service, and the lawyers indicated that the detainees were severely injured due to what they described as brutal beatings, and the statement pointed out that some detainees were taken to Soba prison, while the places of detention of the others were not known.
