The government of the state of Kordofan prevents movement of humanitarian organizations for security reasons
The authorities in South Kordofan state decided to stop the movement of humanitarian organizations throughout the state until further notice.
The Humanitarian Aid Commission in the state attributed the decision to security reasons related to the safety of the organizations' employees from the increasing cases of looting on the national road, after workers in the organizations were subjected to looting. Also, the decision came due to the declaration of a state of emergency in the state.
The decision excluded emergency operations and the activities of organizations within the cities of the state, as well as the United Nations aviation in the city of Kadugli.
