Journalist barred from access to official government press conference
A government official prevented a journalist from attending an official press conference of the Higher Committee for Monitoring the Summer Agricultural Season, which is affiliated with the Council of Ministers.
The journalist, Ahmed Qassem al-Sayed, explained that the head of the media committee met him in front of the building where the press briefing was taking lace, and asked him to leave as his name was not on the invitee list. Qassem Al-Sayed pointed out that the invitation to the press conference was open to all media outlets.
