The Anti-Violence Against Women Unit held a training workshop for police officers on the rule of law, human rights and gender-based violence. The workshop comes in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund, the African Union and the UNAMID mission, and in coordination with the Police General Department of Training.

The workshop aims to enhance the concepts of human rights and gender-based violence among the police, and train them on the skills of dealing with survivors of violence and familiarize them with safe referral pathways.
