Artists sentenced to 2 month prison sentence
Five artists from the Arts Groups "Feed" received a 2 months prison sentence and fines of 5000 Sudanese Pounds (each) for a crime of "Public disturbance and breach of public safety".
The case dates back to August 10th, when a few residents of the AlZuhur neighborhood in Khartoum filed a complaint against the Arts group, claiming that they were performing rehearsals at their headquarters that were causing disturbance to the neighbors and were in violation of the ban imposed by the government due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
