Journalist and Cameraman Assaulted While Covering Pro-Army Rally
A journalist and a cameraman were beaten while covering a rally in support of the army and rejecting foreign intervention in Khartoum.
The journalist at Al-Jazeera office in Khartoum, Abdel Raouf Taha, said in a post on his Facebook page, that large numbers of people attacked him and his colleague, the cameraman, by beating him with sticks and hands for no reason.
This came during a protest procession marched by army supporters to the headquarters of the UN mission (UNITAMS) to hand over a memorandum refusing its interference in what it called the country's internal affairs.
