A group of militant preachers attacked journalist Al-Hadi Mohammed Al-Amin in a mosque South of Khartoum.

Explaining what happened, Al-Amin said that as he recorded the Friday sermon by Abdel-Hayy Youssef, who is one of the extremist imams and defender of the defunct regime, three young men pushed him and took his phone from him. They then surrounded him, and assaulted him, beating him between the shoulder and head.

The Committee of Restoration of the Press Syndicate denounced what the journalist was exposed to, pointing out that he had previously received threats over the phone about what was likely to be the assault he had been subjected to.

اعتدت مجموعة من الدعاة المتشددين، على الصحفي الهادي محمد الامين باحد المساجد جنوب الخرطوم، اليوم الجمعة.

وقال الامين، موضحاً ما حدث، ان اثناء تسجيله لخطبة الجمعة والتي ألقاها عبد الحي يوسف، احد الائمة المتشددين والمدافع عن النظام البائد، قام ثلاثة من الشباب بدفعه واخذ الهاتف منه، وذلك بعد ان احاطت به، ومن ثم قاموا بالاعتداء عليه بالضرب بين الكتف والرأس.

من جانبها استنكرت لجنة استعادة نقابة الصحفيين، ما تعرض له الصحفي، لافتة الى أن سبق وأن تلقى تهديدات عبر الهاتف ما يُرجح أن يكون ما تعرض له من اعتداء، أمر مدبر.
