The Preparatory Committee for the Restoration of the Sudanese Journalists Syndicate condemned the harassment of a female journalist by the organizers of an event, today, in Khartoum.

The committee said that the journalist, Rehab Abdullah, who’s part of the electronic newspaper of, Al-Ahdath, was exposed to what she described as insults and threats when she came to cover a workshop in Khartoum. The committee explained that three of the workshop organizers disagreed with her methods and asked her to present her identification, they then took her mobile phone, searched it and asked her what she was intent on writing about the workshop.

استنكرت اللجنة التمهيدية لاستعادة نقابة الصحفيين السودانيين، المضايقات التي تعرضت لها احدى الصحفيات من قبل منظمي احدى الفعاليات، اليوم السبت، بالخرطوم.

وقالت اللجنة، ان الصحفية بصحيفة الاحداث الالكترونية، رحاب عبد الله، تعرضت لما وصفته، بالاهانة والتهديد، وذلك عند قدومها لتغطية ورشة عمل بالخرطوم، واوضحت اللجنة، ان ثلاثة من منظمي الورشة اعترضوا طريقها وطلبوا منها إبراز هويتها الصحفية وانتزعوا هاتفها المحمول وقاموا بتفتيشه واستفسروها حول ما تود كتابته من تغطيتها لأعمال هذه الورشة.
