The photographer Ibrahim (aka showtime) survived an attempt to run him over by a car. Ibrahim was covering a protest that took place in Kobar in Khartoum North. The protestors were demanding the return of the Amal hospital to the public sector ownership and to be un-privatized. However, on his way back home an unmarked four wheeler vehicle hit him and attempted to run him over after the initial hit. Thankfully people in the area were able to aid him, and the driver escaped. Ibrahim could not identify the driver because the windows were tainted.
