The police subjected the peaceful demonstrators called by the resistance committees in Khartoum, last Thursday, to force and excessive violence, which led to the occurrence of 53 injuries, according to the initial monitoring of the Ministry of Health. On Friday, the Ministry of Health issued a statement that revealed that citizens were subjected to excessive violence from live ammunition fire, tear gas, violent beatings with sticks, iron pipes, and stone-throwing, and pointed out that many of the injured were pursued in different areas of the capital and beaten even after the procession ended and the road traffic movement went back to normal. The statement said, “There were many injuries, some of them serious”, and pointed out that the total number of injuries reached 53 as a preliminary limitation until dawn on Friday, indicating that among the injured are children, youth and women.

واجهت الشرطة، المظاهرة السلمية التي دعت لها لجان المقاومة بالخرطوم، الخميس الماضي، بالقوة والعنف المفرط، ما ادى الى وقوع (53) مصاباً، بحسب الرصد المبدئي لوزارة الصحة. وكشف بيان وزارة الصحة، يوم الجمعة، تعرض المواطنين للعنف المفرط عبر الهجوم بالرصاص الحي، والغاز المسيل للدموع، والضرب العنيف بالعصي ومواسير الحديد والركل والرشق بالحجارة، ولفت البيان الى ملاحقة العديد من المصابين في مناطق متفرقة من العاصمة وضربهم حتى بعد أن انتهى الموكب وعادت حركة المرور إلى طبيعتها. وقال البيان، (وقعت اصابات كثيرة، بعضها خطير)، مشيراً الى أن مجمل الاصابات بلغت (53) اصابة كحصر مبدئي حتى فجر الجمعة، مشيراً الى أن من بين المصابين اطفال وشباب ونساء.
