During a protest in front of the Ministry of Justice, employees of the Al-Sudani newspaper declared that it is necessary to expedite the appeal they submitted against the decision to close down the newspaper.

In a memo they submitted to the Ministry of Justice, they said that the continued seizure of the newspaper, and stopping its publication, represented great psychological and occupational harm to workers, noting that the seizure of the newspaper represented a blow to the principles of the revolution.

On January 7, the "Salvation Regime Dismantlement Committee" had decided to seize the newspaper, based on a suspicion that the newspaper was owned by the former regime.

طالب العاملون بصحيفة (السوداني)، خلال وقفة احتججية امام وزارة العدل، بضرورة الاسراع في النظر الاستنئاف الذي قدموه ضد قرار ايقافها.

وقالوا في مذكرة دفعوا بها الى وزارة العدل، أن استمرار الحجز على الصحيفة، وايقاف صدورها مثل ضرراً نفسياً ومهنياً بليغاً على العاملين، لافتين الى أن حجز الصحيفة يمثل ضربة لمباديء الثورة.

وكانت لجنة ازالة تمكين نظام الانقاذ، قد قامت في السابع من يناير الجاري باصدار قرار بالحجز على الصحيفة، مستندة في ذلك على اشتباه في ملكية الصحيفة للنظام السابق.
