Police violently dispersed a protest that was being held in Omdurman to commemorate the first anniversary of a massacre that took place in-front of the Sudan army headquarters in June 2019.
Police violently dispersed a protest that was being held in Omdurman to commemorate the first anniversary of a massacre that took place in-front of the Sudan army headquarters in June 2019. Excessive use of teargas to disperse the protesters was reported, causing the women's ward of a hospital which was in close proximity to where the protest was being held to be temporarily closed down. The Sudan Doctors Central Committee reported that a doctor was arrested as he condemned the brutal and excessive actions of the police.
