Workshop on Anti-Money Laundering and Combating Financing of Terrorism Financing convened in Khartoum
Sponsored by the European Union and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the workshop was convened at the Academy for Strategic and Security Studies in Khartoum and was to contribute to the governments efforts in raising awareness/knowledge and developing strategies and programmes to combat money laundering and terrorism financing.
Under-Secretary for the new United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office, Vladimir Ivanovich Voronkov addressed the workshop and applauded the cooperation with the Government in contributing to the global agenda of AML/CFT.
