A letter from the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) to the Prime Minister of Sudan Abdulla Hamdok, called on him to reverse the dissolution of trade unions, and cease the arbitrary arrests of trade unionists. Over the past several months trade unions have been subjected to forceful dissolution and have had government appointed steering committees administer their affairs. Several Trade Union members have resisted the handover of their assets to the government appointed steering committees and been subjected to arrest.
