Ministry of Information proposes (3) draft media laws
The Minister of Information presented, during a press conference, three bills related to the Press, the Radio and Television Corporation, and the Tight to Access Information and said that these bills were still subject to public discussions at national and state levels before being presented to the Cabinet of Minsters for final approval.
The laws were drafted through an advisory committee tasked to reform the media sector and were supervised by the Minister of Culture and Information.
The proposal for the Right to Information Law included the establishment of a commission of (7) people to provide information within the limits of democratic laws and to ensure the availability of information through oversight of a public institution entrusted with providing information.
