National Mechanism for Human Rights (NMHR) holds consultations with civil society
The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Sudan in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice's National Mechanism for Human Rights (Sudan's newly established National Mechanism for Implementation, Reporting and Follow Up to international and regional human rights mechanisms) has today convened a consultation meeting with civil society organizations on the Sudan National Report for the Universal Periodic Review (UPR).
Ahead of presenting the Sudan report at the UN Human Rights Council on 3 November 2021, this consultation meeting comes as part of the government’s effort (with support from the UN-OHCHR) to share the draft report with civil society organizations and allow them an opportunity to provide their feedback and recommendations.
