The price of a prepaid data package of 1.5 gigabytes for 1 month has risen from 69 to 110 Sudanese Pounds (approx. 2 USD at the official exchange rate). A recent survey carried out by the Sudanese Development Initiative (SUDIA) on civic space in Sudan ranks the price/cost of internet service providers for data services in Sudan as the biggest obstacle to connectivity and internet access.
