Calls to curb the spread of hate speech and tribalism

Head of the Federal Umma Party in North Darfur state, Anwar Ishak Suleiman, called on the government to enact laws and regulations that would deter the spread of hate speech and tribal/regional extremism among society.

Suleiman called on all to observe the values of patriotism, love and peaceful coexistence and said , "It must be agreed that citizenship - based on fulfillment of duties, recognition and observance of rights and the peaceful transfer of power is the best way to achieve prosperity and usher in a new history for Sudan filled with the values of peace, love and coexistence among the people of the country".
