Authorities surrounded the teacher association building in Gadaref, where a forum for Forces of Freedom and Change (FFC) was taking place. The authorities used tear gas to disperse the forum attendees and confiscated their sound equipment, stating that they needed to get a permission from the police to hold this activity, which something that was not shared with the organizers of the forum until the beginning of the forum itself. This is a clear violation to the freedom of expression and oppression of voices, which is unconstitutional in accordance with the Sudanese interim constitution of 2005.
